The Basmallah at the Ablution

Question:

What is upon the person who forgot to say Bismillah before making Ablution?

Answer:

There is nothing upon him, his ablution is sound, because there is nothing which is established in regards to the Basmallah when performing the ablution.

A number of Huffādh have mentioned this, from them being Ahmed, Al-‘Uqayli and Al-Bazzār.

And it being legislated at performing the ablution is only benefited due to the general legislative evidences (for starting the affairs with the Basmallah).
