Putting small boys in pre-school which have female teachers

Question 369:

I am from kerala in india. Here, a group of muslims started to open a mixed pre school for 3-6 year old kids.

Lady teachers are the working staffs in this mixed pre school . Syllabus contains Qur’an hifz, tajweed, memorization of dhikr and dua , and other science related topics. And this pre school is situated in mixed education college campus.

1. It is permissible to do this type of pre school?
2. And any evidence in salaf this type of mixing education at this age ?
3. And give me a naseeha for how to educate 3-6year kids?

Answer :

Shaykh Abu Hamza Ba shuaib hafidhahullah answered –

 لا يجوز هذا الاختلاط وإن كانوا صغارًا فإن الصبي باحتكاكه بالبنات الطالبات وتلقيه عن النساء المعلمات يكتسب من صفات الأنوثة

This free mixing is not permissible even if they are small so the boy by mingling with girls and female students and meeting with the women teachers acquires feminine attributes.

Shaykh Yasir Al adani hafidhahullah answered –

أنصحكم أن تتوخوا المدارس التي ليس فيها اختلاط ولو كان أطفالا ، فالتربية الحسنة تبدأ من الصغر .

I advise you all that you seek out the schools which do not have in it free mixing even if they (children) are small, the good upbringing starts from childhood.
