Paying zakat while having debt upon him

Question :

What’s the ruling on paying zakat on some jewellery I possess, while I own a debt to someone. What should I do ?

Answer :

Shaykh told that if the jewellery reaches the Nisab (the amount that which the zakat upon becomes obligatory), she should pay the zakat even she have upon her debt. If she doesn’t have enough money to pay zakat, then she should sell some her jewellery and pay the zakat.
