Abandoning the Eid prayer in the Musallaa due to the presence of cameras

Question:

Do we abandon the Eid prayer in the Musallaa due to the cameras which we are not able to escape and pray Eid prayer in the Masjid which have no cameras?

Answer:

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

In the name of Allaah Ar-Rahmaan Ar-Rahim.

All praise is to Allah, and As-Salaat and As-Salaam upon the Messenger of Allaah, his household, his companions and those that take his lead and guide by way of his guidance.

Amma ba’d:

Don’t abandon the prayer in the Musallaa of the Muslims. Those who call to the truth and the good and guidance shouldn’t abandon that. And they should avoid the places where the cameras are according to their capability, and don’t expose yourself to it.

And many of these Masjids now have cameras in them, cameras at the door, none enters except it captures him. But the prayer is not to be abandoned in congregation, and the sin is upon the one who stipulated that upon the people. Whoever hated it then he is indeed free from blame, and whoever rebukes it then he is safe but rather whoever is pleased with it and adheres to it (is blameworthy). Whether or not it is these ordinary Masjids or what is more general than that.

Is Hajj to be abandoned? Is the obligatory Umrah to be abandoned? Is the Jumu’ah and congregational prayers in the Masjids to be abandoned? In some countries all of the Masjids have them, it is from this (angle).

So prayer in congregation is not to be abandoned, nor the Eid prayers, nor anything of the likes of that, and a person avoids according to his capability and fear Allaah as much as you can, and if he is able to rebuke he does so and Allaahul-Musta’aan.
