Inscribing Ones Husband’s Name on the Body

Question:

Does making a pattern of the husband’s name fall into tiwalah (love potion) for example his name is Sālih or Saeed or Muhammad or Khālid, so she inscribes his name using henna on her chest or hand or leg, and also she makes a heart and arrow?

Answer:

This (action) is impermissible and is from imitating (the kuffar). These are elaborations that Allah has not ordered with and Allah did not restrict them to the point where they have to do it. All of this is from imitating the people of suspicions and vile relationships. In the Western countries they do this where the woman writes her husband name on her body. You only have this husband who else are you going to love!? Why do you need to write it for!? You only have this man as a husband, who else are you going to write!? These are things which are loathed so there is no need for this may Allah bless you.

And Allah knows best.
