Fear Allah and don’t free-mix on social media

Question:

O Shaykh, may Allah preserve you, is it considered free-mixing if groups are made where men and women both subscribe in Whatsapp?

Answer:

Even though it isn’t tangible free-mixing.

It’s non-tangible free-mixing, and it’s a avenue of great evil, in the two “Sahihs” that the Prophet ﷺ said:

(ما تركت بعدي أشد فتنة على الرجال من النساء)

“I have not left behind a greater fitnah upon the men than women.”

So let those that want to open groups where men and women come together and message each other and trial each other, fear Allah.

After this, private messages could then take it to something which is even greater.

And refuge is sought with Allah.
