Showing respect to kufaar at work by calling them as Sir

Question #350:

I am working in bangalore (India) based private pharma company as a scientist trainee. Almost all the co-workers working with me are kafirs including my seniors, lab manager and the director etc. Certain times, I am forced to call the seniors as well as the manager for some job related issues. And it is the general rule that the higher positioned people are called by the so called word “SIR”. Is it permissible for me to call the kafir seniorities with the word “SIR” keeping in mind that I don’t praise or respect them.?

Answer :

There is no issue in speaking with the chiefs / administrators who are not muslim,  but he does not revere them and does not say them “يا سيدي” (O sir). So, this is not permissible.
