Question :

Is makeup prohibited or permissible?

Answer:

“For men? No, a man should leave it because this is from the characteristics of women.

As for a woman, if this makeup does not cause harm, then there is no objection in it.[1]

« لَا ضَرَرَ وَلَا ضِرَارَ »

‘Do not cause harm or return harm.’

“ وَلَا تُلْقُوا۟ بِأَيْدِيكُمْ إِلَى ٱلتَّهْلُكَةِ”

‘And do not throw [yourselves] with your [own] hands into destruction.’”
