The one appointed for Hajj on behalf of others has earnest concern as he would for himself
Question:
Is it the incumbent upon the one appointed to do the better of everything that has two ways, for example: Is it obligatory for him to shave or is it allowed for him to shorten and not shave?
Answer:
It’s not incumbent for him to do what’s better in everything, it’s not incumbent, it doesn’t mean he gives importance to the best in everything for example, but rather fear Allaah as much as you can, just as he would have earnest concern on perfection if he were to do his own Hajj, then let him have it when doing it on behalf of others, none of you truly believes until he loves for his brother what he loves for himself. Also he is in a place of entrustment, his brother entrusted him to do this, so he has earnest concern for perfection and doing what is better in his Hajj, except that it’s not obligatory, but verily that is what is better, Na’am.
