Taking wife to a male doctor
Question :
What is your advice regarding taking ones wife to a man doctor, while there is a female doctor available. However the sickness can be dealt with by the man doctor better than with the female doctor ?
Answer :
Shaykh abu-Abdis-Salaam-Qaasim Ar-Raymee answered by saying that it’s not allowed to take her to man doctor while a female doctor is available.
However shaykh said but if there aren’t any female doctor available at all, in this case the husband “MUST GO WITH HER AND BE IN THE ROOM WITH HER AND THE DOCTOR”!! Shaykh continued by saying that the male doctor cannot touch her in certain areas of her body.
Note: Shaykh seem very serious while coding (may Allaah preserve the shaikh)
