Am I allowed to lie or pay bribery money to avoid taking vaccines for Corona
Question:
In some of the Muslim countries make it binding upon them to take the Corona vaccine and I considers this vaccine harmful, is it allowed for me to lie or pay bribery and the likes to show that I took this vaccine to stay in this country?
Preventing harms takes precedence over attaining benefits.
Answer:
Don’t lie, lying is not allowed, it’s from the major sins,
وإن الرجل ليكذب حتى يكتب عند الله كذاباً”
“And verily a man will persist in lying until he is written with Allaah as a liar.”
What’s your excuse in front of Allaah?
Lying is doubt, Allah has cursed the liars, so don’t lie, if you see that it’s harmful and indeed it is harmful, in what many of the doctors affirmed.
If you see that you are satisfied that it is harmful and that you don’t want to do this harmful thing, then either you go to another country that doesn’t bind you, what’s wrong with that?, or either you pay some money to avoid this vaccine repelling the harm from yourself, and if you’re asked don’t lie, don’t say that I injected the needle in my body or such, that I took this vaccine, no!, but being that you pay money to avoid it, spare me from this vaccine I don’t want to use it.
Whether they give you something from them that shows that you took the vaccine but without lying, you’re avoiding a harm, as for that you lie then no, or travel to a different place, being that you’re content that it has harm in it;
(لا ضرر ولا ضرار)
“There is no harming nor reciprocating harm.”
(وَلَا تَقْتُلُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَكُمْۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ بِكُمْ رَحِيمًا)
“And do not kill yourselves (nor kill one another). Surely, Allah is Most Merciful to you.” [An-Nisa’: 29]
So the one who sees harm in commencing upon a thing it’s not allowed for him. So don’t put yourself in constraint, either you lie and disobey Allaah, or you do what you believe is harmful, no! don’t lie and it’s allowed for you to pay something to avoid this harm without lying, and if you’re asked you say yes I payed something for them to give me some papers or something of that so I don’t do this, and if you’re sufficed with none asking you, you continue upon that.
