What to do if beer (alcohol) touches the clothes ?

Question:

If a beer touched my clothes by mistake should I change my clothes or wash the part where the beer has touched and is beer haraam and najis or haraam only

Answer:

The correct opinion is that the ‘khamr’ (intoxicants) is haram and not ‘najis’ (impurity). There is a difference opinion among the scholars but this is the correct opinion. Because when the alcohol was prohibited , the companions shed it so as it was flowing through the streets of madeenah and they would have not done so if it was an impurity.

At the same time drinking alcohol is a major sin and it is the origin of sins. Bearing alcohol is haraam as per the hadeeth of Anas radiyallahu anhu in which the messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam cursed ten with regard to alcohol: the one who squeezes (the grapes etc), the one for whom it is squeezed, the one who drinks it, the one who carries it, the one to whom it is carried, the one who pours it, the one who sells it and consumes its price, the one who buys it and the one for whom it is bought.
[At-Thirmidhi]

So it is a dirty sin at the same time not an impurity.
