Istinjā & the Ablution

Question:

If someone relieved themselves and performed Istinjā with water and didn’t perform Wudhū.

Then later the time for the prayer entered, does he perform Wudhū alongside Istinjā?

Answer:

It’s not a condition in the Wudhū to perform Istinjā if one didn’t have a need to relieve themselves.

So just performing Wudhū suffices, due to the statement of Allah, the Most High:

(إِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ فَٱغْسِلُوا۟ وُجُوهَكُمْ…)

“When you intend to offer As-Salāt (the prayer), wash your faces…”
