When is a Masjid called Ad-Dhirār?

Question:

Establishing Jumu’ah in a Sunni Masjid near to a Masjid were the Khutbah and Jumu’ah prayer is performed by the people of desires. Is this considered from Adh-Dhirār (way of harming), as we here from the people of desires?

Answer:

It is not from Adh-Dhirār, Adh-Dhirār, Allāh mentioned in His Book;

“And as for those who put up a mosque (of Adh-Dhirār) by way of harming and disbelief, and to disunite the believers, and as an outpost for those who warred against Allāh and His Messenger aforetime, they will indeed swear that their intention is nothing but good. Allāh bears witness that they are certainly liars.” [Tawbah, 107]

So Adh-Dhirār has been described with many descriptions which are not established in a Sunni Masjid. Rather every Bid’ī Masjid is a Masjid of Adh-Dhirār even if it is by itself, there is no Masjid near to it. Due to what is in it of legislative oppositions and harm upon the Muslims.

As for the Sunni Masājid they are not Adh-Dhirār. Except if there is between, two Sunni Masjids what is not befitting of closeness, so it is incumbent for one of them to be more bigger, better and beneficial to the people, this being a Masjid Sunnah and that being a Masjid of the people of desire.

And it is not called Adh-Dhirār considering that it is a Masjid Sunnah and benefit, and that is a Masjid Bid’ah and harm, whether it was present before or after. And this is the Fatwa of Our Shaykh (Muqbil) may Allāh be pleased with him in this issue.
