Sins beneath Shirk and Kufr don’t necessitate punishment
Question:
‘Every sin that a Muslim perpetrates which isn’t repented for is a must they get punished for it in the worldly life or in the Hereafter’.
Is this view of Ahlus-Sunnah or the Mu’tazilah?
Answer:
This view is that of the Mu’tazilah: That punishment has to be carried out.
And the view of Ahlus-Sunnah is that: A person is liable for punishment, if Allah wills He will punish him, and if He wills He will forgive him.
