What is the way to enter and exit the house ?
Do we enter and exit with the right foot or Do we enter with the right exit with the left ?
Answer :
I am not aware of any specific proof about entering the house with right foot. And it has come in hadeeth :
Narrated Aaishah (May Allah be pleased with her), The Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) used to like to start from the right side on wearing shoes, combing his hair and cleaning or washing himself and on doing anything else. (Al Bukhari – 168)
So it is not far from being correct, the saying of the one who says that it is Mustahabb (desired or praiseworthy) to enter the honorable places like masjid and house with the right foot and enter the places of dirt like toilet with the left foot.
