Question :
Is it permitted for a woman to give her Zakath money to her needful son ?
Answer :
If she is rich and capable then it is wajib upon her to spend on her son. But if her son is in need and she gives him her Zakath money not to escape from spending on him or not to get away from this Wajib (giving Zakath) and gives him because he is poor then there is no problem. This is preferred opinion of Shaykh Uthyameen Rahimahullah and before him Shaykh Al Islam Ibn Taymiyyah Rahimahullah.
