Praying for needs in sujood in any language

Question 413

Can we pray for our needs in sujood?

Answer :

Yes, we can pray for our needs in sujood as it came in Hadeeth that the Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said, ‘The nearest a servant comes to his Lord is when he is prostrating himself, so make many supplications (in this state)’. [Narrated by Muslim]. This was the fatwa of The Permanent Committee for Scholarly Research and Ifta.

And also we can ask Allah our needs in the sujuud in any language if we cannot ask in Arabic.
