Adhān in the ear of the newborn

Question :

“Is it allowed to do the adhān in the ear of the newborn?”

Answer :

“No authentic narrations come regarding this. This is not from the Sunan of the newborn. Rather (performing this) is in opposition to the Sunnah. This was not done when the children of the Prophet ‎ﷺ were born, nor for Ḥasan, nor for Ḥusayn, nor other than them. (Ādhān) is legislated for the Ṣalāh, not for the birth of a newborn.”
