Ruling on wearing a ring on the middle finger for women

Question :

O Shaykh! What is the ruling on wearing a ring on the middle finger for women?

Answer :

What is apparent to me is that women wear rings on every finger and there is no harm (in this), being that the purpose (of it) is beautification.

Therefore, if it is from their custom to beautify themselves by wearing rings on all fingers then there is nothing wrong. However, if that leads to boasting and ostentation and extravagance then it will not be allowed due to this.

As for a man, then the ring is (to be) on the baby finger or the ring finger on either right hand or left hand.
