What has come concerning the one who is not content with the swearing an oath by Allaah

Benefit:

From Ibn ‘Umar may Allaah be pleased with them both: That the Messenger of Allaah ﷺ said:

“Do not swear oaths by your forefathers. Whoever swears an oath by Allaah, then let him fulfill it, and if an oath is sworn for a person by Allaah, then let him be satisfied (accept it). And whoever is not satisfied with Allaah has nothing to do with Allaah.” [Reported by Ibn Majah with a Hasan chain]

In it are Masaa’il (topics):

The First: The prohibition of swearing by the forefathers.

The Second: The command to the one whom Allaah is sworn by to, to be satisfied (to accept).

The Third: The threat of the one who is not satisfied (doesn’t accept).
