The ruling of praying Janaazah behind a Raafidhee

Question:

A Sunni man died in the area of the Raafidhah, so some general folk prayed over him; but the Imaam in the Janaazah prayer is a Raafidhee! So do they pray over him the prayer of the absent?

Answer:

Yes, the prayer of the absent is to be prayed over him, because them praying behind him whilst they are aware of his condition, Raafidhee Mushrik and the likes of that, is not accepted. So whoever prays behind one whom he knows is a Mushrik then his prayer is not accepted. Therefore Salaah behind him is invalid, and they are to pray over this deceased inshaAllaah the prayer of the absent, so long as those present from the people of Tawheed did not pray over him.
