Flee from the People of Desire and Innovation

Benefit:

The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:

كل مولود يولد على الفطرة فأبواه يهودانه أو ينصرانه أو يمجسانه

“Every newborn is born on the Fitrah (natural disposition), then his parents make him a Jew or Christian or Majian.”

So he is born upon the Fitrah, but he is raised amongst two Muslim parents so he is upon that condition, or born between two Mushrik parents and so they are upon that condition, and the children amongst us are raised upon what their fathers accustomed them to.

And who you sit with is based upon what you sit for, and from this comes (the word) Al-Mujālasah, so beware O my brother – BārakAllāhu Feek – of who you sit with.

Don’t rely on your intelligence and sit with this one and you see him to be like this and before you know it you are breath taken by some genius intellectuals who enter you into the pocket of the people of desires and you’re not able to escape from those doubts.

And for this reason the people of knowledge fled from sitting with the people of desires, and the people of doubts and the people of deviation, and the people of enmity towards Ahlus-Sunnah.

So they fled from them by Allāh out of preservation of their Salāmah (well-being), and guidance, and steadfastness, and there is nothing like preserving it, not preserving gold and silver, or the Dunyā and it’s charms.

So from preserving it is distinction from the people of doubts and desires and fitan.
