The difference between Shirk and Kufr

Question:

What is the difference between Shirk and Kufr?

Answer:

What’s most evident in the differentiation between Shirk and Kufr, is that they are proper subsets, this is due to Kufr being more encompassing than Shirk, so Kufr can be through Shirk and through other than shirk.

For example, from Kufr is Shirk; directing worship to other than Allah, and from Kufr is that which is not considered directing worship to other than Allah, like blaspheming Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, or blaspheming His Messenger ﷺ, or mocking His religion and other than this of types of Kufr in statement or action or belief.
