The legislated veil – Marital life – Husbands responsibility

Question:

If a Salafi let his wife display her face, is he considered a Mumayyi‘?

Answer:

He is considered to be a sinner, because he is her guardian and responsible over her affairs, and Allah, the Most High, said:

(قُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَكُمْ وَأَهْلِيكُمْ نَارًا)

“Ward off from yourselves and your families a Fire (hell)”
[At-Tahrīm:6]

And in the two Sahihs on the authority of Ibn ‘Umar that the Prophet ﷺ said:

(والرجل راع على أهل بيته وهو مسئول عن رعيته)

“A man is the guardian over the people of his household and he is held responsible over his flock.”

➖When the usage of the terminology Tamyee‘ is used unrestrictedly what’s intended is those who are in a state of Taḏhab-ḏhub (swaying, wavering) in their methodology, until they are such as free flowing fluids.

And if his silence and lack of rebuking of this evil –while being able to do this– was due to his Taḏhab-ḏhub or Mudāhinah or the likes, then it’s not obscured that this is from that which enters into Tamyee‘.
