The danger of declaring muslims to be disbelievers

Question:

What’s the ruling on he who declares the Saudi crown prince Muhammed bin Salmān as a disbeliever?

What’s your advise to him?

May Allah bless you.

Answer:

We remind him (i.e the one who does this) with the Hadith of Ibn ‘Umar, May Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“When a person calls his brother (in Islam) a disbeliever, one of them will certainly deserve the title. If the addressee is so as he has asserted, the disbelief of the man is confirmed, but if it is untrue, then it will revert to him.”

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
