Sins and it’s connection to Shirk

Question:

What’s the ruling of Minor Shirk, does it fall under the Will of Allah?

And is it correct to say that all sins contain something of Minor Shirk?

Benefit us, may Allah benefit you.

Answer:

Some differing has taken place in this, and its mention has already preceded in a previous answer.[t.me/AbuHaatimEn/118]

That which is closer – and Allah knows best – is that it doesn’t enter under the Will of Allah due to the generality of the evidence:

(إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَن يُشْرَكَ بِهِۦ)

“Verily! Allah forgives not (the sin of) setting up partners in worship with Him”
[An-Nisā:116]

And Sins -which do not come paired with beliefs of Shirk- generally speaking contain a form of making partners due to what it contains of following desires, and the Most High, said:

(أَفَرَءَيْتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ)

“Have you seen him who takes his own lust (vain desires) as his ilah (god)”
[Al-Jāthiya:23]

But not to extent that it’s said that individual sins are Shirk.

The ‘Allāmah Ibn ‘Utheymīn, may Allah have mercy upon him, said:

“.., and Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, said:

(أَفَرَءَيْتَ مَنِ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَٰهَهُۥ هَوَىٰهُ)

“Have you seen him who takes his own lust (vain desires) as his ilah (god)”
[Al-Jāthiya:23]

Sins from the angle of its general meaning or its type generally, it could be considered Shirk.

But as for the specific meaning of sins, then it splits into categories:
➖1- Major Shirk.
➖2- Minor Shirk.
➖3- Major Sins.
➖4- Minor Sins.

And from these sins are those which are connected to the rights of Allah, and from it are those which are connected to a person himself, and some of it is what’s connected to the rights of the creation.

And the actualisation of ‘Laa ilaha Ilallaah’ is an affair of utmost difficulty, due to this some of the Salaf said:

“Every sin; contains something of Shirk.”
