Hadīth Qudsi both it’s wording & meaning is from Allah

Question:

Is there something preventing saying that the meaning of the Hadīth Qudsi is from Allah and that its wording is from the Prophet ﷺ?

Answer:

From that which is attributed to Allah, the Most High, of speech which He has revealed to His Prophet ﷺ, is:

The Noble Qur’ān which falsehood cannot come to it neither from before it nor behind it, and it’s the Speech of Allah which has been revealed, it’s wording and it’s meaning is from Allah.

Allah, the Most High, said:

(وَلَٰكِنْ حَقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ مِنِّى)

“but the Word from Me took effect”
[As-Sajdah:13]

And from the speech which Allah revealed to His Prophet ﷺ: The Hadīth Qudsi, and the Prophet ﷺ and his Companions, may Allah be pleased with them, would differentiate between it and the Qur’ān:

1- When some of the Qur’ān was revealed upon the Prophet ﷺ, he would order his companions to put Verse… in Surah… .

2- It was either verses or chapters.

3- All of it is Mutawātir (many different chains of narrations).

4- It’s a miracle which Allah challenged the most eloquent & pure of language, of the Arabs.

5- Allah is worshiped through it’s recitation.

6- Each letter consists of ten rewards.

7- Purification is performed for its recitation and touching of the Mus-haf.

And other than this of differences.

And the Hadīth Qudsi was not like this with the Prophet ﷺ, nor his companions by their unanimous agreement.

And with Ahlussunnah wal Jamā’ah the Hadīth Qudsi’s wording and it’s meaning is from Allah, the Most High.

The Prophet ﷺ would attribute it’s wording to Allah, the Most High, and say:

“Allah, the Most High, said:《I am to my slave as he thinks of Me..”

As found in the two “Sahīh” on the authority of Abu Hurayrah.

And the Companions unanimously agreed upon the attribution of the wording to Allah, the Most High, whereby the Companion Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, said:

“The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Allah, the most High said:《I am to my slave as he thinks of Me..”

As for the statement that the wording of the Hadīth is from the Prophet ﷺ and that it’s meaning is from Allah, is the statement of the Mu’tazilah & the Ashā’irah, and is not from the statements of Ahlusunnah.

And whoever said it from the people of this time, is mistaken, every persons statement is either accepted or rejected except that of the Prophet ﷺ, and their approach in this is not that of the people of Innovation.

The ‘Allāmah Muhammed Amān Al-Jāmī, and the ‘Allāmah Hamād Al-Ansāri have rebuked those that said this, and they clarified that this statement is the statement of the Mu’tazilah and the Ashā’irah, and that what pushed them to this being their false beliefs in regards to the Quraan.

And the beliefs of Ahlusunnah wal Jamā’ah in regards to the Hadīth Qudsi, has been affirmed by other than them from the people of knowledge, the likes of the ‘Allāmah Ibn Bāz, may Allah have mercy upon him, and the ‘Allāmah Al-Fawzān, may Allah preserve him.
