The reality of charity organisations

Question:

O Shaykh, are charity organisations a place of permissible differing, whereby a person is not declared an innovator for?

And does the affair of charity organisations alone suffice in declaring a person an innovator?

Also, is the one who this takes place from considered to have opposed a foundation of Ahlussunnah?

Answer:

The statements of the people of knowledge on charity organisations is usually not regarding of it in and on itself.

Rather it’s in regards to:

➖It’s system which is built upon voting,
➖Putting money in (usury) banks,
➖Picturing things with souls in many of their charity projects.

Likewise, it’s in regards to where they’re heading towards of hizbi (bigoted and partisan) methodologies, which they cloak under the veil of:

➖Digging wells,
➖Taking care of orphans,
➖Funding students seeking knowledge,
➖Opening Qur’ān memorisation centres.

Abul-Hassan Al-Misri (a misguided, innovator) founder of the charity organisation named “Al-Bir wat-Taqwa” spoke the truth when he said:

“These organisations first start with charity, then end with ideology.”
