Praying behind Imam who doesn’t keep Sutrah
Question :
Is it permissible to pray behind an imam in the masjid who doesn’t use a sutrah ?
Answer :
The obligation of Praying with a sutrah is a difference of opinion among the scholars and that which is correct is that it is waajib but its not from the nullifications of the salah. So if you pray behind an imaam who does have a sutrah then your salah is correct so long as he is from the people of tawheed.
