Is it allowed to fast the 11th (Muharram) ?

Answered by our Shaykh, the ‘Allāmah, the Trustworthy Advisor, Abu ‘Abdirrahmān Yahya bin ‘Ali Al-Hajūri – may Allāh preserve him – on the 9th, Muharram, 1442H

Is it allowed to fast the 11th?

Answer:

What’s preventing the 11th being fasted, whether he fasted the 9th or not, the best fasting after Ramadhān is the month of Allāh Al-Muharram.
