Ruqyah on Kafir

Question :

Is ruqyah permissible from a Muslim to a kafir among the relatives or other than relatives ?

Answer :

Shaykh Hafidhahullah said, it is allowed to do Ruqyah on a Kafir and specially if it helps in calling him to Islam. The proof is Hadeeth of Abu Saeed Radiallahu anhu where he treated a chief from Mushrikeen with ruqyah of surah al Fatihah. Refer Sahih Al Bukhari Hadeeth No : 2276
