Shaving beard to let it regrow properly after medical treatment

Question 462

A brother have undergone cancer treatment and his hair have fallen during the treatment. Later the hair have grown but the it is very thin. So the doctor have advised to shave his head and his beard so that it can grow properly. Is it permitted to shave the beard for him ?

Answer :

I advise him not to shave the beard and leave it. Because what ever have fallen from his beard fell without intention and he should not remove what is present with intention. He can use some oils or medicine to let the beard grow properly.
