Hadeeth regarding 72 levels of Riba
Question 415
I want to know whether this hadeeth is authentic very frequently we listen this hadeeth.
“From al-Bara bin ‘Aazib from the Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)
‘Riba (interest) has seventy-two levels; the lowest form is like a man having intercourse with his mother. The severest form of Riba is when a man arrogantly abuses his brother’s honour.’
Answer :
Shaykh Al Albani has declared this hadeeth as Saheeh in his books ‘Saheeh At Targeeb wat Tarheeb (1857)’ and ‘Silsilah As Saheehah’.
