Does the verse that Allah only accepts from the pious mean the sinners deeds are not accepted?

Question:

The statement of Allaah;

“Verily, Allah accepts only from those who are Al-Muttaqeen (the pious – see V. 2:2).” [Al-Ma’idah: 27]

Is it understood that Allaah doesn’t accept from the people of sin?

Answer:

No! It is understood that Allaah doesn’t accept from those who have no Taqwa of Allaah, like a Mushrik, Kaafir, Munaafiq.

As for a Muslim, he has Taqwa of Allaah according to the level he has, between one who has a little and alot.

Ya’nee there isn’t a Muslim except that he has acquired something of Taqwa of Allah, so the Muslim has Taqwa of Allah according to his Eemaan, and the intent is that Allah accepts from the Muslim, and the one whose actions are rejected is the Kaafir, the Mushrik,

“But if they had joined in worship others with Allah, all that they used to do would have been of no benefit to them.” [Al-An’aam: 88]

“And We shall turn to whatever deeds they (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, etc.) did, and We shall make such deeds as scattered floating particles of dust.” [Al-Furqaan: 23]

“Their deeds are like a mirage in a desert.” [An-Noor: 39]

“Their works are as ashes, on which the wind blows furiously on a stormy day.” [Ibrahim: 18]

This is it,

“Verily, Allah accepts only from those who are Al-Muttaqeen (the pious – see V. 2:2).” [Al-Ma’idah: 27]

i.e. from the believers, the Muslims, and they are different levels in their Eemaan and Taqwa.
