A man breastfed from his wife, does she become prohibited for him

Question:

A man was breastfed by his wife (joking with her) does that cause her to be prohibited?

Answer:

With a group from the people of knowledge yes but the correct opinion is no, it’s not caused concerning the adult, otherwise the majority view that (it does).

So exiting from their differing, it’s not necessary for a person to put himself in place of differing, as for the correct opinion in this then it’s no, it doesn’t cause to be prohibited, and even she is not prohibited for him, with the fact that we don’t see that he should take the breast and breastfeed, but we say from the angle of prohibition, it doesn’t make her prohibited for him.

دع ما يريبك إلى ما لا يريبك

“Leave what causes you doubt for that which doesn’t cause you doubt.”

And she’s not prohibited for him.

إنما الرضاعة من المجاعة

“For suckling is that which is the result of hunger.”

Breastfeeding is before weaning. As for this one it doesn’t make the bones grow and he doesn’t have much benefit from it, so it’s not like breastfeeding a baby, breastfeeding is what makes the bones grow, and that is the one that prohibits, and the story of Saalim Mawlaa Hudhaifah is a specific occurrence, the Prophet ﷺ wanted to make a way out for that, and whoever is in similar tight situations, it is for that specific occurrence, as for the breastfeeding of an adult it doesn’t prohibit.
