Fasting the White Days in Sha’baan is Not Prohibited

Question:

If a person wanted to fast the White Days (13,14 & 15) of Sha’baan and was not intending on fasting after that, is this from the prohibited (fasting)?

Answer:

No. The 13th and14th are from before the middle of the month. So there is nothing prohibiting fasting these days. The fasting that is prohibited is beginning fasting in Sha’baan at the middle of the month. This is what is prohibited.
