Is the Zebra (wild donkey) allowed to eat if it is domesticated?
Question:
If the zebra is small and a person nutured it until it became big is it allowed to eat it?
Answer:
The zebra is allowed to eat whether it is wild or nutured, it’s nuturing does not transfer it from it’s origin with the majority of the people of knowledge and a consensus has been relayed, some differing was found but they didn’t consider it, and likewise the domestic donkey does not transfer into permissibility even if it became wild, for it remains prohibited even if it becomes wild, so this is returned to it’s origin and that to its origin, the origin of the zebra is permissibility so it remains permissible even if it was nutured and became domestic and the origin of the domestic donkey is prohibition so it remains prohibited even if it became wild.
