Keeping sutrah right side or left side instead of middle

Question :

Assalamualaikum, Is it permissible to have the sutrah on the right side or left instead of having in front while praying because I saw a brother praying with his sutrah on the side of him jazakallahu khairan

Answer :

Shaykh Yahya hafidahu Allah mentioned that some of the fuqahaa’ have mentioned this however it’s incorrect and there is no evidence to support it.
