Not being able to fast for 2 months after having intercourse during the daytime in Ramaḍān

Question :

“A man approached his family (intercourse) during one of the days of Ramaḍān and is not able to fast two months so what does he do?”

Answer :
“He feeds sixty from the poor, and does the wife have to do the same? Some of the the people of knowledge mentioned that she also does the same, while other specified that if he was the instigator (then she doesn’t need to do anything). While some mentioned that this kaffārah (penalty) is only for the husband due to the ḥadīth of ʾAbū Hurayrah and this is what’s most correct!”
