Is the incorrectly pronounced Adhan valid or need to be repeated ?

Question :

If the one calling out the Adhaan does not pronounce it correctly, is it valid or invalid ?

Answer:

The Shaykh hafidhahullah answered the question by saying,

“That which is correct from the statements of the scholars is that which is required has taken place and that it is correct and it is accepted and there is no need for a second person to repeat it once again. The reason being that there may be some shortcomings and weaknesses in the tongue of the non-arab, so some kind of shortcoming may take place which is hard (to refrain from) upon this person.

And Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala mentions in the Qur’an:

فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ

“So fear Allah to the best of your ability” (Surah At – Taghabun : 17)

and also the Messenger Of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) has said,
‘Do that which I command you to do to the best of your ability.’ (Sahih Muslim 1337) .

Also it is befitting for the one who is taking the responsibility of the Adhaan, that he learns the Adhaan and how to properly give these words their rights and pronounce them correctly.”
