Question :
Assalamu alaykum. What’s your advice to parents who places there kids in summer camps in public schools with the kuffar and music and dancing and bad behavior of others kids is surrounded these kids, and this is done in this beautiful month of Ramadhan. Please advise these parents Barrakallaahufek.
Answer :
Allah says addressing the believers
قوا انفسكم و أليكم نارا
“Save yourselves and your families from the fire.”
Allah said to his messenger Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam
و أنذر عشيرتك الأقربين
“Warn your close family relatives.”
When this ayah came down, the Messenger sallallahu alaihi wa sallam gathered all of his close relatives and warned from the fire until he said Oh Fatimah the daughter of the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam save yourself from the fire for indeed I will not be able to avail you of anything before Allah.
The Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said every single one of you is responsible and he will be asked concerning his responsibility
Our Children are a great responsibility over our heads which Allah will ask us regarding it on the day of judgment
The Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam said there is none who Allah has placed upon him a responsibility who becomes undutifull over the responsibility which was placed upon him except that he will never smell the fragrance of paradise
Our sincere advise to these parents is that they fear their Lord and repent to him and that they rectify their affair by learning their religion and lifting the ignorance from themselves. None takes his children to such places especially in the blessed month of Ramadaan except that he himself is heedless of his religion. Such people are to be informed that its obligatory upon them to make hijrah from the lands of kuffar.
